Elpida Koulountzou (female, PhD candidate) is a BSc graduate from the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the Agricultural University of Athens (2023). Her research interest concerns Sustainability Assessment of bioprocesses and biorefineries for the production of biogenic products. More specifically, her PhD focuses on the assessment of economic and environmental potential to produce biofuels from microalgae crops. Her primary work includes Process Design, Techno-economic evaluation, Life Cycle Assessment, which she implements in biorefineries development, waste treatment and the food production industry.
