Christos Margioulas

PhD Student

Christos Margioulas (male, PhD candidate) is a Food Scientist and holds an Integrated Master from the School of Agriculture, Department of Food Science and Technology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2020). Further specializing, he completed an MSc in Food Science and Technology with specialization in Food Processing, Preservation and Biotechnological Processes – Bio-economy Products Development (2023). Currently, he is pursuing a PhD, delving into the production and recycling process of Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) for the development of sustainable food packaging materials. His research is primarily concentrated on waste valorization, the innovative use of plasma technology, microbial fermentations, and the exploration of biopolymers for food packaging applications.
