Vasiliki Korka (PhD candidate) is a BSc graduate from the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the Agricultural University of Athens.  Her PhD focuses on the conversion of renewable feedstocks into bio-based succinic acid via microbial fermentation.  Her research interests concern the waste valorization, the optimization of microbial fermentations and the metabolic engineering of yeast strains.
